Martha Jane Brooks

Originally from Beckley, WV, she enjoyed living everywhere from San Diego, CA to New London, CT as the proud daughter of a Navy WWII veteran. She married and raised her family in MD, PA, and CA. She worked for years as a gifted seamstress and for several physician offices as an office manager. She will always be fondly remembered by her family for her patience, love of cleaning and organizing (especially when she came to visit), and the love and support she brought everywhere she went.

She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Samuel E Brooks; their four children and their families: Kristine (Brooks) Byrne, her husband Paul and their three children, Michael, Tommy (Laura) and Megan (Caleb); Kimberly (Brooks) Brayton, her husband Steve and their daughters, Samantha and Sarah; Kerrie Brooks-Angle, her husband Ron and their daughter, Addison; and Jason Brooks, his wife Ning and their sons, Drake and Grant. She is also survived by her sister, Deanna (Peters) Inkrote and her husband Sam and their family. She is preceded in death by her parents, Orville and Jane (Phillips) Peters.

A Celebration of life will be held privately by her family at a later date. In lieu of flowers, please make any donation to St. Jude's Children's Hospital or your local animal rescue program in her memory.
