Carey Parker, 71, of Wesley Chapel, went home to the Lord on August 3, 2026, surrounded by his devoted family. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend. He will be missed every day until we reunite with him in Heaven.
Carey was a devout Christian; he put his faith in Jesus at a young age, and held fast throughout his life, even to the end. He was a lifelong member of the Church of the Nazarene.
Carey was also a talented cook. He masterfully created memorable meals, always with more than one meat. It was his gift to family and friends to prepare a scrumptious meal, mostly with recipes of his own design. He adored his family and they adored him. Carey was a quiet and humble man who truly had a servant’s heart. He raised his family with a wife he deeply loved, and he taught his family to put the Lord first in all things.
Carey was preceded in death by his parents Maynard Parker, and Ruth Kramer Parker; and 3 brothers, Maynard J, Dana, and James Parker.
Carey is survived by the love of his life, his wife of 35 years, Michaelyn ; children, Marlee Faircloth, Annette (Nathan) Long, and Jesse (Nichelle) Parker, and Lauren Parker; grandchildren, Corrine (Jake) Arnold, Kaleigh Long, Claire Faircloth, Willow Parker, Ivan Parker, Zinnia Parker, and Caleb Long; brothers, Ronald (Patty) Parker, and Randy (Ruth) Parker; and many nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life Service is planned in Pennsylvania. Details are not yet finalized.
In lieu of flowers, Carey’s family requests that memorial contributions be made to Nazarene Compassionate Ministries at ncm.org
