Thuy was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, friend, and teacher. She was a person of profound generosity and strength who dedicated her life to helping others. Her generosity extended beyond monetary contributions. She brought people into her home when they needed a place to stay, helped people find jobs and homes, and raised money for charities. As a teacher, her love for her students meant that her work went beyond the classroom as she made herself available at all times and attended formal proceedings with her students and their families so they would have someone to translate and advocate for them. She leaves behind a legacy of service to others and will be fondly remembered for her selflessness and loving nature.
She will be laid to rest at the National Cemetery in Bushnell, Florida. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
