

She was born in Barrow-In-Furness, England on January 17, 1931. She grew up in WWII era when sugar was rationed, bombs fell and at times she would need to wear a gas mask as a small girl.
Her fondest memories were playing in her backyard, surrounded by her dolls and stuffed animals. And she never forgot her mom and aunt Susannah sewing her clothes.
She studied in England, played basketball as she was the tallest girl in her class. She also traveled to many other countries.
She met Roy Coward and were married at Emanuel Congressional Church, England, on December 28, 1954.
They decided to come to America where Roy worked as a stone Mason, set up his own business and Margaret continued her educational journey to become a teacher.
In 1963, she received her Bachelor of Science from Eastern Michigan University and in 1968 her Master of Arts degree, also from Eastern University.
She taught throughout Genesee county. Her last teaching jobs were at Anderson and Mcgrath schools in Grand Blanc. She especially liked teaching 'the littles', as she called the younger students. She continued to teach up until COVID in early 2020.
Margaret enjoyed shopping, playing the piano and playing Bingo with her friends.
Margaret is preceded in death by her husband Roy Coward, her son Bryan M. Coward, her parents Henry and Hilda Robinson.
